Signoid · for iPhone, iPad and Mac

Something not working, or a question the game does not answer? Write to [email protected]. Tell us your device and what happened, and we will get back to you. Everything below is also in the game, under How to play.

1. How do I play?

Every room is the inside of an old machine that keeps an island in the sky. Keep the ball in play with your paddle and break every block that can break; the room is clear when they are gone. Gold, chrome and bells never break: they are part of the machine.

Fly the ball through a power cell and bring it home to the paddle, and the paddle holds that power until you fire it. Hit the ball just as it lands on the paddle to strike: it leaves faster and its next hit counts twice.

2. What are the controls?

DeviceControls
iPhone and iPadDrag anywhere to steer. Tap to launch, tap as the ball lands to strike, tap again or flick up to fire a power. While one finger steers, a second finger strikes. The mark at the top right pauses.
MacMove the mouse or trackpad to steer. Click to launch, strike and fire a power. Esc pauses.
Game controllerStick or d-pad to steer. A launches, strikes and fires a power. Menu pauses.

3. How do rooms and worlds open?

Clear a room and the next one opens. A world opens when every room of the world before it is clear (from World 2 on, with the full game). Anything you have cleared stays open, to come back for stars and better scores.

4. What is free, and what is the full game?

World 1, The Forge, is free, every room of it, to keep. The full game is one in-app purchase that opens the other nineteen worlds, which then open as you play, one after another. There are no ads, no subscription and nothing else to buy. Bought once, it opens on every iPhone, iPad and Mac signed in to the same Apple Account. You can get it from a locked world on the map, at the end of The Forge, or in Options › Full game.

If a device does not show your purchase, choose Restore purchase in the same places. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. How do lives work?

You start with five lives, and the first clear of every room gives one more. A lost ball costs a life. Lose the last and it is game over: the room starts again from nothing, with five lives.

6. Where is my progress kept?

On your device only: each iPhone, iPad and Mac keeps its own progress. Options › Reset progress starts again from nothing (your settings and the full game stay). Deleting the game removes its progress too. See the privacy policy.

7. How do I change the sound?

In Options, or in the pause: music and sound effects each have a switch and a level, and the music has two scores to choose from, Classic and Arcade.

8. It runs hot, or drains the battery

Turn on Battery saver in Options (60 frames a second, a little below full resolution), and Reduce effects for fewer sparks and no bloom.

9. Which devices can play it?

iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 26 or later, and Mac with macOS 26 or later.
